It's OK to wander from the regular lifestyle we follow during our "normal" lives. I believe in the 80 / 20 rule for healthy living: 80% of the time we need to exercise, eat healthy & splurge smartly. But on vacation - I let that rule go.
While I am flextarian, which means I eat vegetarian or vegan meals consistently at home 3-4 days a week, vacation may mean I only have 1 or 2 days of vegetarian or vegan meals. I don't use self-hating thoughts or words to make myself feel bad about my choices. Instead if I want that fried clam sandwich or another glass of wine, I am all in!
So whether you are planning a trip or simply doing a stay-cation, make sure to have a splurge or two (or maybe even more). After all, no one ever said "I wish I ate healthier on vacation". Nor should anyone!
