How do blissful berries boost antioxidant protection?
Berries - I love them. What types of berries? Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries all of them are great fruits to add to your daily lifestyle. Why? Just look at the facts:
Blueberries: Rated very good for vitamin C, manganese, dietary fiber
Strawberries: Rated excellent source of vitamin C and manganese
Raspberries: Rated excellent source of manganese, vitamin C, dietary fiber
Blackberries: Rated good source of vitamin C, manganese, vitamin K
Personally, I add organic frozen blueberries everyday to my overnight oatmeal. I let them defrost in the refrigerator overnight and then stir them in when I eat them at work in the morning. Since I workout before I go to work, breakfast for me is always at work. Not ideal but it is how I try to incorporate healthy living when working a hectic lifestyle.
Not only are berries high in essential vitamins, minerals and fiber but they help prevent disease. Most berries provide antioxidant protection and promote brain health. Some may also promote joint health, healthy elimination and heart health. I know I enjoy berries when they come into season and they are readily available.
While I may add them to oatmeal or a scoop of organic peanut butter as a snack, there are a lot of ways to prepare berries to enjoy them in your daily lifestyle. I tried defrosting organic blueberries and adding them to a salad and it was delicious! The blueberries were tasty and made a great addition to the salad. I was so happy I tried this! ]
