Becoming more trusting is what happens when you eat avocados

Avocados have been the go to fruit for healthy living in 2018! Who knew there are so many ways to enjoy avocados? Did you know that in 2018, the average weekly avocado consumption in the US was 47 million pounds? In 2019 this is projected to grow to 50 million pounds. That's a lot of avocados.

But what if I told you that eating avocados can help you become more trusting in your life? Would you eat more? I try to eat 1 avocado per week. I limit my intake due to the high calories. One of the guiding principles I follow is to be able to burn all the calories I eat in a day. I get really close because I workout 5 days a week. But I digress, let's get back to avocados.

Avocados are known for their healthy fats but they are also good sources of Potassium, Vitamin K, Copper and Vitamin C. These nutrients help support the health of the kidney's, bladder, adrenals and reproductive system. The kidney's are the dominant organ that helps us either be trusting or not.

Most of us, at some point in our life, will lose trust in something. Maybe you lost your job so you don't trust employers. Maybe you were hurt by a friend or loved one which made you not trust them anymore. Maybe you've been told that your thoughts and feelings are not worthy, which made you lose trust in yourself. Lacking trust negatively effects the kidney's, bladder, adrenals and reproductive system. The health of the kidney's are critical to helping clean the blood in the body so our cells can receive nutrient dense blood.

This concept may seem far-fetched if you haven't had anyone explain it to you before. Have you ever thought about how our emotional state can affect our overall physical health? Think about it, if you are unhappy, don't you feel tired and lethargic? It is really hard to have energy when your not happy. Same concept applies here.

When we talk about holistic nutrition, we link very specific emotions to very specific organs in the body. While you may not feel your kidney's are in pain when you don't trust someone or something, eventually your kidney's will become ill. Maybe it is a urinary tract infection. Maybe it is a kidney infection. Maybe something worse like kidney cancer.

Avocados are just one fruit that can help promote healthy kidneys, which in turn will help you become more trusting. We do not advocate trusting everything, after all we learn through experience when to trust and when not to. That is an important life skill to have. Trusting when it is right and your experience tells you to trust, will support healthy kidneys.

Now that we've laid the foundation to understand how food can help support specific organs, which in turn can support and promote positive emotions in our life, let's get to the fun stuff! RECIPES! Avocado Tuna Salad from Home Made Interest. This is an easy recipe to make for a healthy lunch. Simply make the tuna how you like it and then layer the mixed tuna on top of avocado. Easy Avocado Hummus from A Sweet Pea Chef. I think I have died and gone to heaven. Avocado hummus is such a great idea. It can be used to dip vegetables in or as a spread on a sandwich or as a toast topper. Mixing avocado with chickpeas is genius and very healthy. Click here for the recipe.

Chicken Bacon Stuffed Avocado from Diet Hood. Stuffing an avocado makes a lot of sense. Simply scoop out the avocado flesh and mix it with the other ingredients. I can also envision this as a vegetarian option with white beans, green onions and grape tomatoes. Click here for the recipe.

Chickpea Tacos with Avocado Cream from Amuse Your Bouche. The avocados are mixed with Greek yogurt so it gets really creamy and can be drizzled on your tacos. A great recipe for Meatless Monday! Click here for the recipe.
